I've discovered that my thinking was wrong!

It's by doing the things... that will get me there".

The way it starts...

In March of 2001 I arrived in the Netherlands.
After living all my life on a "dushi!" and sunny island Curacao.
It was time for a new challenge.
And what a challenge it was...

I saw, I learned, I cried and laughed, danced and worried, had fun and grew... it was time to go home. So after 5 years of this maturing experience, I'm back!...

On my little piece of paradise. Living and giving the best of me as I'm rediscovering... Joyfully and with a different view.

Visit my weblog regularly as I share with you a piece of me.
Prayers, poems, thoughts... from my past to present.

In English, Papiamentu and Dutch... as I'm feeling to express.
This is me then... Behind the scenes!

Welcome to the my world!
Enjoy and lemme know...

Poem: ...Bo ta!

Bo ta muhé… bo ta mucha.
Bo ta amiga… bo ta ruman.
Bo ta pulushi… bo ta bunita.
Bo ta hari… bo ta yora.
Bo ta skonde… bo ta duna.
Bo ta grita… bo ta ketu.
Bo ta drumi… bo ta biba.
Bo ta floho… bo ta dediká.
Bo ta fanatiko... bo ta “koppig”.
Bo ta krítiko.

Bo ta fragil... bo ta honesto.
Bo ta misterioso… bo ta stima.
Bo ta entregá… bo ta dushi!
Bo ta suave… bo ta brutu.
Bo ta inosente… bo ta lus.
Bo ta inkonsiente…
Bo ta golos…
Bo ta puru… bo ta sunú.
Bo ta skondí… bo ta insigur.
Bo ta duda…

Bo ta insensivo… bo ta bo mes.
Bo ta real… bo ta hende.
Bo ta ‘legria… bo ta paz.
Bo ta oasis… bo ta tormenta.
Bo ta kompliká... bo ta pashoná.
Bo ta sinti… bo ta ekspresá.
Bo ta tuma… bo ta duna.
Bo ta awe… bo ta mañan.
Bo ta prekupá... bo ta disfrutá.
Bo ta kansá… bo ta bendishoná.
Bo ta proteja…

Bo ta skucha… bo ke sa.
Bo ta bibu i bo ta…

Thoughts: ...the need to be right...

There are times when we find ourselves at odds with someone.
It may seem that our only choices are to caught up in the situation or walk away.
The ego tells us we must prove we are right.
If we walk away, the other person will win.
The ego keeps us from recognizing there is another choice.
Whatever situation confronts us, we must recognize our right to be at peace.
The need to be right and meet discord head on begins within.
It is a need that stems from feelings of powerlessness, unworthiness and lack of love.
It shows up in life as arguments and confrontation.
When we have peace in our hearts and minds, we draw peace into our lives.
When discord and disharmony present themselves, we can stand firm.
When we let go of the need to prove ourselves, nothing and no one can disturb the quiet and peace of our minds.

I Am rightfully peaceful.

Dedication: ...Thank you...

I’ve grown and I’ve experienced that I could love that deep.
I’ve taken the risk to explore that emotional part of me.
Going to a place and reaching a depth I have not reached before.
And that’s what I want to thank you for.

It’s me that took the risk and it’s me that allowed myself to love and feel like that for you,
but it is you who inspired me.
You were a part of a beautiful journey.

If there was not a human being ...,
perhaps I would not have discover or express it like this.
Since the first words I wrote you,
something magical was happening to my soul.
I still believe as if the universe was waiting and preparing that moment to unfold.
As if my soul was waiting for your soul to enlighten it.

I still believe you had a purpose in my life.
And as I look back now after almost a year… I thank you.

Thank you for being an angel without perhaps even being aware of it.

I’m not here by accident.

I still believe great things are going to happen.
It’s all God’s plan for me.
And so were you, for turning my eyes to look in this direction.
You’ve helped me see and I believe too that God has used you to get me here.
What I make out of it is up to me.

Perhaps your part and role in God’s plan with me is completed.

You’ve helped me see, understand and take action about moving to Holland.
And that was and is a part of God’s plan for me.
But with that I’ve learned to love and explore new depths of my soul.
All inspired by you and guided by God.
And that’s what I wanted to thank you for.

I love you for that… as a human being.

Thank you for even been born and crossing my path.
You are an important angel.

Thank you.

Thoughts: ...decicions...

“Whatever decision you take in live, there’s always faith involved”.

Sunday

Why do I fear...

Letting go.
What a hard thing to do.
Start again.
What a scary thing to think about.

As my millenium ends, it feels as if my past is dying...
I never knew I had to live all these years to get here.
At this point.
At this crossroad.

But if I look back, I can see and understand...
...this mysterious way my Father dealt with me.
I was prepared to get to this point.
And now it's expected that I'll jump.
It's called faith... again.

...but you know what...
I don't regret my last jump.
It feels as if... as I'm jumping I'm going higher.
I'm climbing closer to my dreams.

So why do I fear?
Why do I care, if it's all taken care of...
And at this point when my hopes are low...
...when my believe is weak...
There's only one thing I'm holding on to...
I do believe in my jump!

And I'm not scared of the future...
I'm scared of myself, as I walk to my jumping point.
I know I need to trust.
Trust in the one that will catch me when I fall.
Trust in the one that will protect me on my path.

So why do I fear?
If I'm just a human reacting to my Father's call...
...and for no matter how hard I'll try...
...He'd still be God, He'd still be more powerfull.

So why do I fear...?

Dedication: ...dreams from the heart...

We all have dreams we need to dream.
We all have goals we want to reach.
I have a dream, I have a heart.
There is a world I need to survive in.
I still want to dream as I cross through this world...
...without losing the shadow of my heart.
And right now I wonder if I could still dream.
I wonder if I will survive...
...if I hold on to my dream.
It's something you feel.
It's a part of your life.
It's reality and it can be cruel.
And I wonder God:"Why can't I dream if it's comming from my heart?".
Will I be able to sacrifice my life for my dream?
Will it be worth it God to live my life as I feel?
Faith!
